My name is Kyle Wilkinson, i have been doing judo for 11 years. I started when i was 5 years old. I first got into judo because of my dad. He suggested that I try it because he has being doing it since he was around the same age as me. My dad is a provincial champion and in BC for 5 years in a row. At first I wasn't so sure about joining but then I started to enjoy it. I started to get competitive around 8 years old and I competed at a few regional tournaments. After that I started to fight provincially and I did very well. I was talked into trying out for the BC team to go to nationals in Toronto. I made the team, and was ranked 2 in BC. I was very happy with myself because I placed 5 out of 27 kids, and went for bronze.
